The king of clay has lost the battle.  The curse on Roger Federer has been lifted ;)

Robin Soderling sealed Nadal’s fate in a match lasting over 3hrs 30mins. The final set saw a terrific tie breaker, till Soderling got the last tie breaker point, I was thinking that Nadal might come back. Its not that I wanted him to come back, since I was secretly hoping that Federer will get his shot right, this time at the french open.  :)

Soderling was extremely composed, may be he didnt want to celebrate given that Nadal has the ablitity to turn around matches when you least expect him to :)   Scores were 6-2 6-7 6-4 7-6

I’m so excited that its less than 5 minutes since the match is over that I’m posting it :D     I can already hear the crowd chanting Roger Roger Roger!

Hope there are no more surprises in roland garros, this year :P

The long break was quite needed and timely. Staying away from the internet was never supposed to be easy, but was something desperately need after the realization that am turning into a workaholic, again.

Staying away did put a few extra hours in my life and I’ve learnt some meditation techniques, read a few books, learnt about how to analyze stocks, experimented with my new 18-200 nikkor and thought real hard about where I want my life to head.

Sometimes rethinking takes us in a different direction, sometimes in a different approach, sometimes we understand our limitations, sometimes we understand ourselves better…

Such a situation is best suited to think about life, in a bigger view, a different perspective than the “I, me, myself” view we tend to roam around with everyday…
